Keep an eye on this page to ensure you don’t miss out on our events:
Pub-night, 7pm Wednesday, 7 January, The Pickerel, 30 Magdalene St, Cambridge, CB3 OAF. Come for drinks at the ultimate Cambridge student boozer. A space is booked and food is available (with a limited menu). And bring your Camcard for a discount. Thanks Georgina!
Coffee and tea with MSS 2-3pm, Monday, 12 January, Florey Café, Harvey Court, West Road, Cambridge, CB3 9DS. Despite lots of cafes being shut over the holidays, Jess managed to keep the tea-n-cakes flowing. We're hoping to settle back into a routine, however, with our usual spot and time at Florey's. The following week is Brew Monday, which we are hoping to make our next (modest) Samaritans fundraiser. Thanks Jess!
Watch this space for other events. We're planning a steak night for instance.
Book Club meeting, 7pm Tuesday 27 January, Free Press (probably the MSS shed), 7 Prospect Row, Cambridge CB1 1DU. This is the one to discuss Huxley's Brave New World. Not too late to join the MSSBC, HERE, and there's a free audio version of Brave New World HERE. The pub also does the best ham-n-eggs in Cam (imho). Thanks Jen!
MSS Flashtalks, 6.30-9pm Thursday 29 January, at Christ's College, St Andrew's St, Cambridge CB2 3BU. Last year's event was a triumph, so make sure you come or (even better) present at this year's. MSS Flastalks will be held at the inauspiciously-named Room Z, Amenity Room, the Basement, Todd Building: in fact, a great room that can fit around 40+ people and has AV etc. We're working with Christ's and the Cambridge Alumni team to provide food. As stated, there's still space for presenters (email rjk62). Thanks Carlos and Adam!
